I'm Saemah Shamim, an Arabic calligraphy artist, Hafizah and educator. Every letter I write carries a piece of my heart, and every student reminds me why I started.
The journey
Started teaching Qurʼān & Tajweed online
Began one to one Zoom classes for sisters worldwide — Hifz coaching, Tajweed rules, and gentle recitation correction, in shāʾ Allāh.
Workshops & commissions across NYC & beyond
200+ students guided · four classical scripts taught (Naskh, Thuluth, Diwani & Nastaliq) · bespoke commissions for weddings, Nikah gifts, and home décor. It is also a great honour to recite the Qurʼān at events in and around New York City, in person and online, alhamdulillah.
